Step 5: Outfit change - My new favorite denim (Banana Republic) ---> + Top

{Piccola Italia! Ciao NYC}

Aperol Spritz
Even though this was just a quick bite at a restaurant we passed by, it was undoubtedly a pleasant surprise! The bruschetta I ordered was to die for - anything with pancetta is A-OK in my book; guilty. Restaurant: The Italian Food Center - ps: this might be listed as permanently closed according to google but I was just there Wednesday October 7, 2015 so you can still check it out!
Sofia Loren Quote on the side of Alleva's Dairy: a must-see shop/deli in Little Italy, the oldest Italian Cheese Store in America!
Avant Garde Moment in the backroom of an amazing (although messy) boutique! There's inspiration everywhere...

Day one complete - I was full of both amazing food AND ideas from the creativity and inspiration around every corner! Stay tuned to see more from the rest of my #GCCinNYC experience through my photo's, thoughts and memories.

Style take-away: Dress according to both mood and occasion and you will feel just as good as you look, happiness shows!

Life-style note: Staying positive, although sometimes it seems you've had just about enough, a positive mind-set is the only way to get yourself through it!

In a study put out by the American Psychological Association, researchers suggested that the positive emotion of gratitude has three important moral functions and that it serves as a:
  1. Moral barometer (we acknowledge and respond to to the perception that we have been the beneficiary of another person’s kindness or good)
  2. Moral motivator (it motivates us to want to do good things for other people)
  3. Moral reinforcer (it strengthens our resolve to want to do good in the future)
 … it can increase and sustain positive emotion.
Simply put — we get good, we do good, we become better. (Chris Winfield)
