TEA X DESIGN - 'The Making of a Fashion Designer'

Myself alongside my mentor, teacher, as well as the designer of (most of) these amazing, one-of-a-kind garments/quilts seen here: Professor Donna Ehrhart. - The woman for whom this event was in honor of...See more of the fabulous event through an informative post on the GCC campus blog here!

This was one of my favorite outfits to style. When I began working on this event back in the Fall semester, we had an opportunity to select the clothing for promotional purposes etc. on campus for photographers! Sometimes, as happens too frequently in the world of fashion, the things we didn't do or buy haunt us & this scarf was just that. For my personal preferences, I felt that it was too understated in the initial photographs. Therefore, when planning the event, I was thrilled that it was agreed upon to feature the clothes at the event for people to see in person as well! This gave me another opportunity {which RARELY happens} to go back & alter the styling to my liking, after months of pondering what I really wanted to pair together. Below are the original photos:

PS: This coveted accessory is not just a chic Chanel scarf, but it's also a vintage piece from the 20's that was gifted to her years ago. Below are the rest of the accessories (purses, handbags, handmade totes, scarves and more) that were also a part of her collection for this Tea X Design event.

Aside from the amazing eye-candy provided by the vintage bags that she owns and allowed us to utilize, there was also some amazing designer pieces such as the Chanel Scarf or the mauve-ish, Tory Burch bag with a chain strap

*SPOTTED: The GCC official plaid scarf!

Overall this was such an amazing experience for myself and undoubtedly - all of those whom we're a part of, or we're lucky to have been in attendance of, the TeaXDesign Event. I cannot thank Professor Donna Ehrhart enough for all of her efforts and hard work on this event, it was such a success and I was so lucky t have been able to be such an active participant!
