 Everyone has seen those absolutely gorgeous fur covered chairs, loungers and more throughout the furniture stores and online boutiques lately; however when I personally saw the price, I was more than deterred from purchasing. Mostly due to the face that I can't fathom spending $600-800 on a chair that I already own and faux fur fabric that I could source and re-upholster on said chair myself. So, after finding the right materials and colors (I spray painted the bottom portion of this computer chair salmon because of a suggestion from my boyfriend actually!) I think that this chair came out really nice and it is so luxurious and actually comfortable to sit in again. The before picture is non-existent however it started as a very sad looking, run-down computer chair, definitely nothing quite like this finished product.

{check out the polyvore board coming soon to purchase your own version of each item}

This piecenow available in my recently opened Etsy Shop: Faux Fur Chair

This bench was a $12 purchase from the St. Pius Country Fair/Flea Market this August. Again, the before picture unavailable, but it was a plain, mostly wood visible, some black paint bench that I thought would be perfect for extra seating and storage in my bedroom! After a little TLC, some black glitter spray-paint, crystal drawer-pulls (altogether purchased for $4), and of course a little cleaning/touch-ups at the beginning before doing any of the re-design/up-cycling. Now, this is a perfect piece, seated at the end of my bed and filled with all of the little purses, wallets and handbags that overflowed from the neighboring shelves.
My Hermes Tray Table - this is a piece that I've been dreaming of and designing in my notes/dreams for years, literally. Fortunately, 2016 (shocker) was the year that it actually came together, and quite well if I do say so myself. As you can see, it's just an orange and white tray (~$6), a white, broken magazine stand ($3), and some white acrylic paint. Much easier than purchasing the painfully expensive versions that I've been lusting after for years online, I think the painstaking effort that went into it was well worth it.

Back to Basics with my all-time-favorite, white faux-fur. and here this bench just needed a makeover to be the focal point of my vanity/dressing area.

You would never know what was underneath this matte-black paint job (a little debbie decal), I was in need of an extra storage something and it works really well next to my bar car (technically located in my closet)...because what is better than getting dressed and drinking at the same time...
I'm not the biggest drinker - however I'm likely the largest bar-cart fanatic I know. Another one of those pieces that has been years in the making and I'm so happy to see how it came together and worked out in the end. This cart began as my dad's stainless steel tool-carrying cart. After several times of sanding, cleaning and painting, I could see that my vision was coming to life. Everyone who knows me also knows that I'm in love with skulls hence my incessant incorporations here and another momentous piece - the skeleton pitcher and crystal head vodka. Other must-mentions: marble cheese plate with utensil drawer, ice-bucket, colorful waterless ice-cubes, glassware, paper-straws, stirrers, candies & dried rose bouquet.
