The Shortall Revival

The short overall trend is making a comeback, just in time for the heat wave of early August weather. At first, the term "overall" might cause some of us to cringe as we're flooded with wretched '80s/'90s outfit flashbacks. Try to suppress this foggy fashion haze long enough to read this and you won't be so quick to dismiss this classic style anymore.
Short overalls (or shorteralls) have evolved and matured much like we have in the time since we stopped donning them. They’re a super fun and effortless garment to add to your closet. This masculine silhouette is newly feminine and high fashion. Fashionista/os like this girl and her dog, have made the look dernier cri and ubiquitous. They've been spotted all over, from campus street wear to runways worldwide. The omnipresence of this look has brought tons of new and different ways to pair them to light. I hope this provides you with some inspiration and insight on how you can be a chic participant of the shorterall revival.
This Fashionista successfully managed to deviate from the way shorteralls have been worn in the past. Prooving that they can be worn well, she created a modern and stylish summer combo. She is wearing a loose fit version with front pockets and a rolled hem, guaranteeing comfort and ease all day long. She was also with an extremely cute puppy—the ultimate accessory for any guy or girl, rain or shine.

Her crop top was a great selection, as having a light layer underneath will help her stay cool enough for a sunny afternoon walk. This option actually worked as another way to keep the farmer vibes away when you don’t want them. Increasing the femininity of some of the pieces you affix works very well with overalls and similar one-piece styles. Finding fashionable but realistic footwear for activities such as dog walking is either really easy for you or quite foreign. Balance athletic wear with trendier styles—find a flat shoe (preferably rubber soled and obviously comfortable) as a simple start. This Fashionista wore animal print slip-ons and Armani Exchange sunglasses with a relaxed topknot hairstyle.

To avoid looking like you're headed to recess, leave the high socks, backpacks and pigtails at home. Instead, choose structured bags, jewelry and a sleek hairstyle or whatever comes to mind as substitute. If you need to reassure yourself that this fashion statement will be read the right way try a bold makeup style or add a pair of heels and it will feel way more put together for you! Take these style cues and find a pair that will work with your style preferences. Then shop your favorite denim wash or loose boyfriend option and give shorteralls their well deserved fashion limelight.

STYLE TAKEAWAY: "When it’s hot out you don’t want to overdo your outfit. Shorts are the easiest solution, and shorteralls or even rompers are a playful version of your run-of-the-mill summer uniform.”

Packing For A Weekend

Navy Lace Romper with brown (linen) beaded-bucket bag and Chloe Rose Gold/beige sandals.

Proud find moment with my look-alike ForLoveAndLemons dress, Dolce Vita Espadrille Wedges and hints of red in my gold accessories.
This dress is not only super comfortable but you can dress it up with sandals or down with flats/sneakers! Great for packing and vacations because it's so versatile and cuts down on outfits needed.
These cargo pants were my favorite end of summer look, with the nude tank top and sneaker flats (pointed-toe) and my favorite Fendi Sunglasses for il sole
Last but certainly not least, this dress has an amazing collar, cutout back, side-slit and perfect for dinner or a night out.
